Estuary Adventure Pontoon Tour (Sunset)

Join the NSRWA as we explore the lower portions of North River to the historic Union Street Bridge and out to where the North River meets the ocean. See the beautiful and natural barrier beach known to locals as “the Spit”. Venture up river and discuss history and local estuary and salt marsh ecology. History includes discussing the 1898 Portland Gale which dramatically shaped the area we see today. This tour also includes views of the ocean, Fourth Cliff, and the vast and stunning salt marshes of the North River.

Cost is $50 for members, $75 for non-members (includes membership). Space is limited to 6.

FAQs

What are my transport/parking options getting to the event?

Roht Marine has donated their docking service to NSRWA free of charge, therefore we don’t want to take up parking spaces for their other paying customers. Parking at Roht Marine is very limited, so we encourage carpooling or drop-offs. If you must park, please do so at the scenic turn off on Rt. 3-A and walk over the bridge. Please arrive at the dock at least 15 minutes prior to departure time. See Google map for parking location.

CANCELLATION POLICY: You may cancel with a refund 48 hours before the event, however, membership and credit card fees are non-refundable. If you cancel within 48 hours, we reserve the right to refund 50% of your payment.

WEATHER CANCELLATION: If we need to cancel the event due to weather, we will either give you a refund, or we will reschedule the event. If you cannot attend the rescheduled event, you will receive a refund of the event fee, less the membership and credit card fees.
