A few years ago, George retired to his childhood hometown of Scituate after a 45-year career in higher education, most recently as Provost and Vice President for Academic Affairs at Massachusetts College of Pharmacy and Health Sciences in Boston. From his new home along the Herring River, he was naturally drawn to the NSRWA’s efforts to understand and protect the watershed’s salt marshes. George also serves on the Scituate Cultural Council.
