Fieldston Beach in Marshfield is a public beach that offers seasonal lifeguards from Friday through Monday. The most reliable way to access this beach is on foot, walking south along the shore from Rexhame Beach. There is no public parking available at the beach itself, nor on any of the roads in its vicinity. Extremely limited resident parking on Old Beach Road.
Hunting is not permitted on this property.
FISHING ADVISORY: It’s important to know that some of our fisheries are contaminated with mercury, PFAS and/or other concerning substances. The Massachusetts Department of Public Health maintains an online database with up-to-date advisories regarding fish consumption, sorted by location. We recommend you consult this valuable resource when planning a fishing excursion.
Features
The beach itself is located south of Rexhame Beach and north of Brant Rock, but there is no public parking on any road in the immediate vicinity. Walking south along the shoreline from Rexhame Beach is the most reliable access.
The following items/activities are prohibited: alcoholic beverages, littering, glass, fires, unleashed dogs, camping, dressing/undressing, power boats, water skiing, jet skiing. Raft/float use is subject to safety orders from lifeguards.
This land is within the region of the Massachusett (or Massachuseuk). To learn more about local Native American tribes, we encourage you to interact with their members. The Massachusett tribe at Ponkapoag and the Mattakeeset band of the Massachusett share information on their websites.
