North Scituate Seaside Fun Playground

15 Henry Turner Bailey Rd, Scituate, MA 02066, USA

Owned By: Town of Scituate

The North Scituate Seaside Fun Playground is fully fenced-in, and has sections for older and younger children. It includes several modern play structures, swings, slides, a zip line, plus picnic tables and benches. There is a small grassy area, but otherwise the surface is rubber. Shade is minimal.

Features

This playground opened in October 2017. Located very close to the North Scituate MBTA Station, it is a great spot for train enthusiasts! Unusual for a playground, it has two levels, with a sloping hill (with a rubber surface) in between.

This land is within the region of the Massachusett (or Massachuseuk). To learn more about local Native American tribes, we encourage you to interact with their members. The Mattakeeset band of the Massachusett, and the Massachusett tribe at Ponkapoag, both share information on their websites.

Habitats and Wildlife

This fenced-in park is surrounded at a distance by oaks and maples. It lies within the watershed of Bound Brook, which flows into the Gulf River. The Gulf River empties into the Atlantic Ocean at Cohasset Harbor.
