Susan grew up in Alexandria, Virginia and moved to Boston after graduating from college. She has lived in Norwell with her husband Tom since 1984. She has a BBA from the College of William and Mary and an MBA from Boston University. After 35 years in the Financial Services industry, Susan retired from State Street Corporation in 2018. Over the course of her career Susan held a variety of senior management positions overseeing global departments focused on technology, regulatory compliance, operations and risk management. Susan recently became a Norwell Advisory Board Member and was previously on the Board of the SpeakEasy Stage Company in Boston.
Susan credits her father for providing her an abiding appreciation for nature and is thrilled to have more time in retirement to spend outdoors where she loves to bike, hike, kayak and travel. Susan began volunteering with the NSRWA in February 2019 and has been thoroughly impressed with the enthusiasm, drive and commitment of the staff/board/members. She believes that this is an exciting time to be part of the NSRWA supporting the crucial work they do to protect the environment for future generations to come.
