Pam was born in Zimbabwe and lived in South Africa for many years before moving to the United States with her husband and children.
In all three countries she experienced significant cultural shifts with the passage of time. This has made her a pragmatist, an idealist, a realist, and an optimist, all of which is reflected in the honest representations of her subject matter.
Pam studied art in formal educational and private settings for over twenty years. Cultural exposures have formed her love of color, pattern, texture, and rhythm. Born at around the same time as ‘the endangered species list’, she believes it is not our role to care for nature because we are not in charge of her. We are but a small part of her whole; integrated and coexisting, and we should be mindful of our impact and learn to be good neighbors to all living things.
